BSc Perfusion Technology (Bachelor of Science in Perfusion Technology)
Perfusion Technology is the study of the physiology of the lungs and supporting respiratory organs of the human body. It also involves the in-depth study of designs and strategies of cardiac and pulmonary surgical procedures, equipment used to support the lungs and the heart during surgical procedures, constant monitoring of blood flow, and operation of life support machines. The candidates are provided with a thorough understanding of the respiratory and circulatory system to counter highly stressful situations. Students are trained to respond efficiently during unforeseen medical circumstances. This course theoretically and practically prepares candidates to face the professional medical world.

BSc Perfusion Technology or Bachelor of Science in Perfusion Technology is a 3 year course for the students who are undergraduate. Perfusion technology is the study of physiology and the pathology of the lungs and the allied respiratory organs of the human body.
Students of BSc Perfusion Technology or Perfusion Technologists prepare and operate heart-lung machines and other sophisticated equipment as directed by healthcare physicians. Perfusionists measure blood pressure and other parameters to identify appropriate mechanical, pharmacological and thermal manipulation to maintain tissue viability. Additionally, the Perfusionist must be capable of handling stressful situations, paying great attention to detail, communicating effectively, and willing to stay abreast of new developments in the profession.
